STRAMILANO SOTTOZERO 2025 SELLS OUT: OVER 5,000 RUNNERS TAKE OVER CITYLIFE
In the 10 km competitive race, Mattia Grifa triumphs in the men’s category, setting a new event record with 31’58’’. Among women, the winner is Benedetta Piraino, crossing the finish line in 36’52’’.
Martina Riva, Milan’s Councillor for Sports, Tourism, and Youth Policies, also joined the 10 km non-competitive run.
Once again, Stramilano SOTTOZERO proves to be an unmissable event for the city: the third edition sold out, with over 5,000 participants painting the CityLife district orange this morning, braving Milan’s chilly temperatures. Among the runners was Martina Riva, Councillor for Sports, Tourism, and Youth Policies of the Municipality of Milan, who took part in the 10 km non-competitive race.
Following the traditional 5 km closed circuit—starting from Viale Cassiodoro, passing through Piazzale Giulio Cesare and Via Colleoni, and finishing on Via Stratos—thousands of enthusiasts joined the two non-competitive categories (5 km and 10 km, open to all) and the 10 km FIDAL competitive race, which featured over 1,500 athletes.
Mattia Grifa claimed victory in the men’s category, setting the event record at 31’58’’, followed by Salvatore Gambino (32’14’’) and Matteo Porro (32’16’’).
In the women’s category, Benedetta Piraino took first place (36’52’’), ahead of Matilde Bonacina (37’57’’) and Giada Eleonora Mingiano (38’45’’).
The day kicked off with a captivating performance by the Carabinieri Band, playing the National Anthem, alongside a DJ set by Nexus_dem, energizing the starting area and welcoming runners from the early hours.
